Hope we have a western theatrical release soon, it seems weird we haven’t heard whatever about who gets it.

Wait until next year for potential announcements. I imagine the production and marketing team went out of their way to organize the December release and earn their end-of-year break. There is also the question of Europe and the Americas which also have their Christmas holidays, so the international partners would not be available before the end of their holidays anyway.

Since Viz has the Jujutsu Kaisen TV series, I’m assuming they’ll be releasing the movie as well.

Viz does not own the rights to JJK, CR is the licensee. CR has only sublicensed the personal video rights to Viz. If anyone, CR will most likely make a theatrical release for the film like they did with Konosuba.
